About The Job
An opportunity has risen at Saadiyat Beach Club for General Technician
.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repair work across the beach club facilities to ensure smooth operations, safety, and excellent guest experience.
The role supports the Engineering department in maintaining all equipment, systems, and public areas in good working conditions through preventive and corrective maintenance activities..
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair works for electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, lighting, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational breakdowns.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, beach facilities, pools, restaurants, changing rooms, and back-of-house areas.
- Ensure all engineering equipment and facilities function safely and efficiently.
- Assist in preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Report major repair requirements and technical issues to the Engineering Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of engineering tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Support the setup and maintenance of beach events, outdoor activities, and special functions when required.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
- Ensure proper use of tools, materials, and spare parts to avoid wastage.
- Assist other engineering team members during emergencies or operational requirements.
- Maintain records of completed maintenance works and report updates accordingly.
- Have what it takes to join our team?
- The ideal candidate for this position will display the following attributes:
- Technical certification or vocational training in Electrical, Mechanical, Air Conditioning, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of maintenance experience in hospitality, beach clubs, resorts, or facilities management.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor beach environments.
- Flexible working shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operations.
