About The Job
An opportunity has risen at Saadiyat Beach Club for Chef De Partie – Cold Kitchen
.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen within the beach club, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes in line with established standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for designated kitchen section (e.g., hot, cold, grill, pastry).
- Ensure all dishes from the section are prepared and presented to the required standards.
- Maintain proper mise en place and readiness for service.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
- Monitor food quality and report any issues to senior chefs.
- Coordinate with other sections to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Support high-volume service periods, including weekends and beach events.
- Guide and support Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants within the section.
- Provide on-the-job training and ensure adherence to standards.
- Maintain discipline and teamwork in the kitchen.
- Follow and enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Monitor stock levels within the section and inform senior chefs of requirements.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and minimize wastage.
- Support cost control by adhering to portioning and storage standards.
- Have what it takes to join our team?
- The ideal candidate for this position will display the following attributes:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie in a beach club, resort, or high-volume restaurant.
- Solid knowledge of culinary techniques relevant to the assigned section.
- Ability to manage a section independently during service.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, outdoor hospitality environment.
