Responsibilities
- Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, evaluate symptoms, and diagnose a wide range of conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medication and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Provide counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention and answer patients' health-related questions.
- Prescribe antibiotics when needed.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers when necessary and collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records of patient progress and treatments.
- Stay up to date with medical research and guidelines.
Requirements
- A DOH License is required.
- Experience in a direct-care clinic setting is required.
