Responsibilities
- Maintain SHEQ compliance for mechanical equipment and safety; conduct reliability and safety audits and follow up on actions.
- Support operating sites and ensure adequate, cost-efficient mechanical maintenance compliant with company processes.
- Review major turnaround scopes and support emergencies, failure investigations, contingency planning, root cause analyses, and reliability improvements.
- Set mechanical-systems strategies for sourcing, replacement, engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting, service providers, standardization, obsolescence, upgrades, and condition-based maintenance.
- Review downtime and maintenance costs, identify savings, close site actions, and report implementation of reliability initiatives and directives.
- Review or approve major modifications and configuration changes and ensure associated plant documentation is updated.
- Oversee mechanical-system requirements, standards, project reviews, acceptance, handover, training, documentation, service-provider alignment, and asset integration for new plants or process units.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related subject.
- More than 12 years of maintenance-function experience in air separation, fertilizer, chemical, or process plants.
