Role overview

Leads the construction division in Dubai as the business unit head and accountable owner of operational, technical, and commercial performance.

Drives construction projects from excavation and structural completion through final handover, maintaining quality, safety, and profitability.

Leadership and delivery

  • Own the division’s P&L and operations, steering office teams, project managers, site engineers, and construction personnel.
  • Visit active sites across Dubai, including multistory buildings and villas, to check adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
  • Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, and materials across simultaneous projects to optimize schedules and prevent bottlenecks.

Stakeholders, compliance, and procurement

  • Serve as the executive escalation point for consultants, contractors, clients, and municipal authorities; resolve disputes and manage project correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and authority requirements, including Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Dubai South, and master developers.
  • Oversee vendor evaluation, technical submittals, material selections, and subcontractor performance to protect margins and timelines.

Candidate qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required; a master’s degree or PMP certification is an advantage.
  • At least 8 years of progressive UAE civil construction experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership or a divisional head role.
  • Proven delivery of complex UAE projects, including G+9 structures, residential buildings, or villas, from groundbreaking through handover.
  • Deep familiarity with regional contract frameworks such as FIDIC and procedures for managing consultants and subcontractors.
  • Hands-on experience with Dubai municipal codes, structural inspection milestones, and authority approvals.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with an authoritative yet collaborative management style.

Pay and benefits

  • Pay is AED 15,000–20,000 per month.
  • Benefits include medical insurance, a biannual airfare allowance, and vehicle or transport provisions as per UAE labor law.
