As we expand our finance operations in Doha, we are looking for a skilled General Ledger Accountant to strengthen our accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Position Overview
The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, and supporting timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
This role is ideal for a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Record journal entries accurately and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
- Review and analyze account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in internal and external audit processes
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Collaborate with finance teams to improve reporting efficiency and controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards (preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
