The General Foreman will be responsible for leading a team of utility technicians and ensuring the efficient functioning of various utility systems.
Job Responsibility
1.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of utility technicians in carrying out maintenance, repairs, and installations.
2.
Inspect utility systems regularly to ensure compliance with safety regulations and efficiency standards.
3.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for utility systems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
4.
Troubleshoot and address any issues related to water supply, HVAC, electrical systems, and other utilities.
5.
Train new technicians on proper procedures and safety protocols for working with utility systems.
6.
Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and address utility-related tasks and emergency repairs.
Candidate Requirements
- 1.
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or in a similar leadership role in utilities maintenance.
- 2.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other utility services.
- 3.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- 4.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team of technicians.
- 5.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints to guide maintenance and repair activities.
- 6.
- Certification in relevant areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, or plumbing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems and infrastructure
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate utility projects
- Leadership skills to supervise a team of workers effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and report progress
- Problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during projects
- Time management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in utilities construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management
