General Accountant for Restaurants

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations, including **accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, recipe costing and cash flow monitoring**.
• Maintain **accurate financial records** for multiple outlets, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile **sales, inventories, and commissions** between the ERP system and accounting software.
• Prepare and process **payments, invoices, bank reconciliations, and payroll**.
• Assist in **month-end and year-end closing processes**, including journal entries and financial reporting.
• Manage and update **vendor accounts** and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor **cash balances** and assist in cash flow forecasting.
• Support external, internal, and revenue audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with **UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and other financial laws**.
• Assist in the preparation of **profitability analysis and financial reports** for management review.
• Maintain **accurate records of purchases, expenses, and fixed assets**.

Requirements

• **Minimum 5 years of accounting experience** in the UAE, specifically in the **restaurant** & **F&B, hospitality**.
• Strong knowledge of **restaurant financial processes, including inventory, revenue reconciliation, and cost control**.
• Proficiency in **accounting software** such as **QuickBooks and Sapaad**.
• Familiarity with **UAE VAT laws and financial regulations**.
• Ability to **prepare detailed and accurate financial reports** within deadlines.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• A proactive, detail-oriented team player with the ability to multitask.
• **Salary Range:** AED 4,000 - 5,000 (All-Inclusive) based on experience and qualifications.
