Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Monitor project-related expenses and ensure proper allocation of costs.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Process supplier payments and ensure timely collection of receivables.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and reports.
• Monitor financial controls and recommend process improvements where necessary.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and management regarding financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT regulations.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the real estate, construction, or property development sector.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Experience with project accounting and cost control.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards.
