Fusion Technician II-1

Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing environment

Required to become certified in any combination of at least two certifications for Fusion Fabrication Technician 1 as well as hydraulic butt fusion and/or sidewall fusion

Thorough, accurate, and works error free

Able to select the proper component parts required for a work center

Advanced knowledge of all fusion machines in the department

Must be able to understand and utilize measurement tools that are specific to that area or product

Must have good attendance record and employment in good standing (no final warning or suspension)

May not have 3 or more non-conformances during a rolling 12 month period to qualify for this role

High School Diploma or equivalent

At least 60 days of hydraulic butt fusion or sidewall fusion experience

Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner

Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time

Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required)

Exposure to sparks, chips and dust (eye protection required)

Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed

Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time

Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required)

Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts

Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature conditions
