Build and continuously improve a new trading tool and applications used by traders, sales, and operations teams.
Serve UBS Global Wealth Management in Europe and APAC, collaborating with business and IT teams around the globe.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable software products and data-intensive trading interfaces, including blotters, dashboards, orders, executions, positions, and monitoring screens.
- Integrate REST APIs and streaming data, maintain UI performance and correctness, and support secure, stable production systems.
- Analyze requirements, implement enhancements, resolve production defects, and improve testing, automation, and engineering productivity.
- Collaborate across teams; participate in code reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and release processes.
Required experience
- 3–5 years of front-end development experience and at least 1 year of Java 17+ server-side experience using functional Java techniques.
- Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, React, modern hooks, data-driven UI, REST API, asynchronous data handling, HTML, CSS, and responsive design experience.
- Familiarity with Spring, Gradle or Maven, enterprise architecture, and agile development.
- Experience with tables or grids and knowledge of React Hook Form, Redux, state machines, and React Query.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to WebSockets, STOMP, SSE, or other real-time data; enterprise UI libraries; financial markets or trading systems; CI/CD and automated testing.
- Professional hands-on use of GitHub Copilot, Copilot Chat, or equivalent AI-assisted engineering tools is a plus.
Working approach
The role calls for problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and ownership of features with guidance from leads.
