Full Stack Engineer

Role overview

What you will do

• Build features across frontend and backend and collaborate with Product and Design on customer problems.
• Create polished, performant experiences for complex SaaS workflows, collaboration, automation, and enterprise use cases.
• Design scalable APIs, data models, and backend services; make architectural decisions across the stack.
• Own performance and reliability from browser to API and database, and debug complex full-stack issues.
• Write maintainable, tested code, conduct reviews, reduce technical debt, and improve observability and engineering productivity.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and support production features and issue resolution.

Frontend experience

• Comfort with React, modern JavaScript or TypeScript, SPA architecture, component design, HTML, CSS, state management, and client-side flows.
• Understand browser caching, storage, networking, and rendering; build reusable components and optimize frontend performance.
• Real-time applications, WebSockets, data-heavy interfaces, rich editors, or spreadsheet-like experiences are a plus.

Backend and engineering fundamentals

• Backend fundamentals include Java and Spring or similar frameworks, HTTP and REST APIs, relational databases, data modeling, Redis and caching, and asynchronous processing.
• Understand scalable and resilient services, query performance, debugging, root-cause analysis, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
• Engineering topics include system design, transactions, concurrency, distributed systems, failure handling, security, testing, observability, and maintainable architecture.

Candidate profile

• Have strong depth in at least one part of the stack and solid engineering fundamentals across the other parts.
• Independently take a customer problem through design, architecture, implementation, and production.
• Be comfortable with ambiguity, cross-functional collaboration, learning unfamiliar parts of the stack, and mentoring while remaining hands-on.

Nice to have

• Experience building B2B SaaS products or working at a startup or high-growth product company.
• AWS, Docker or containerization, and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with real-time collaboration, WebSockets, high-volume APIs, or large datasets.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks and enterprise-grade integrations.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or AI-powered product experiences.
