Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Design and build end-to-end features across React and Java.
• Build performant experiences for complex SaaS workflows and scalable backend services.
• Solve problems involving real-time collaboration, workflow automation, large datasets, and configurable enterprise use cases.
• Own architecture, performance, reliability, production troubleshooting, code quality, and technical decision-making.
• Mentor engineers and participate in engineering design discussions.

Frontend Experience

• Comfort with React, modern JavaScript or TypeScript, SPA architecture, component design, HTML, CSS, and state management is required.
• Understanding of browser caching, storage, networking, rendering, reusable components, and frontend performance optimization is required.
• Experience with real-time applications, WebSockets, large data-heavy interfaces, rich editors, or spreadsheet-like experiences is advantageous.

Backend Experience

• Strong fundamentals in Java and Spring or similar backend frameworks are required.
• Experience with HTTP, REST API design, PostgreSQL or relational databases, data modelling, and query performance is required.
• Understanding of Redis, caching, asynchronous processing, message brokers, scalable services, logging, monitoring, and production troubleshooting is required.

Engineering Fundamentals

• The role requires understanding of API and system design, transactions, concurrency, distributed systems, resiliency, performance, scalability, security, testing, observability, and maintainable architecture.
• The engineer should have depth in at least one part of the stack, solid fundamentals across the other, and the ability to own a customer problem through production.
• The role values ownership, product thinking, collaboration, comfort with ambiguity, mentoring, and willingness to learn unfamiliar parts of the stack.
