Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and APIs.
- Build and maintain applications using Node.js, NestJS, Laravel, and other modern web technologies.
- Configure, deploy, and manage applications on Linux servers; Ubuntu is preferred.
- Set up and maintain NGINX, reverse proxies, SSL certificates, and domain configurations.
- Manage DNS records and domain routing; configure databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot server, networking, and deployment issues.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage PM2, Supervisor, Docker, or similar process tools.
- Maintain server security, firewalls, and environment variable management; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Skills
- The posting seeks strong experience with Node.js, NestJS, Laravel, or full-stack web development.
- Requires Linux server administration, NGINX, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, reverse proxies, and production deployment experience.
- Requires database administration and optimization, server security and firewall knowledge, and experience with PM2, Supervisor, Docker, or similar tools.
- Requires Git, version control, and CI/CD proficiency; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are sought.
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Kubernetes; and Agile experience are listed as qualifications.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Two years of experience with Node.js/TypeScript, PHP/Laravel, and .NET required.
- English required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Abu Dhabi commute or relocation before starting is preferred.
