Backend Developer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Laravel, C#, ASP.NET, PHP, Node.js, and Python.
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic in collaboration with front-end developers.
• Design efficient, scalable, and maintainable code; troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Maintain application performance, responsiveness, and reliability and implement data-protection and security features.
• Understand and implement the software development life cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.
• Provide training and support to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proven backend developer work experience and four years of backend experience involving Laravel, PHP, or Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, PHP, Laravel, Node.js, and Python.
• Understanding of server-side templating languages; strong unit-testing and debugging skills; and proficiency with code-versioning tools such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience; a bachelor's degree is also separately listed as preferred.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• English is required.

Compensation

• The posting lists pay of AED 6,000–8,000 per month; the structured salary field lists AED 6,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi.
