Role overview

Temporary, full-time seasonal position at Kal Tire’s St. John’s store.

The representative is the first point of contact for customers, helping them choose products and services and supporting store operations.

Shifts are scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist with product and service inquiries.
  • Prepare quotes, explain options, and support sales decisions.
  • Complete vehicle check-ins outdoors in all weather and collect mileage, tire condition, and service details.
  • Look up parts, pricing, and availability using internal systems.
  • Prepare invoices, process transactions, answer calls, book appointments, and maintain customer records.
  • Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe, and coordinate with the shop team.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service and sales experience.
  • Interest in automotive products; tire knowledge, basic vehicle knowledge, or parts lookup experience is an asset.
  • Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and customer-first approach; able to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs; team-oriented and committed to safe work.

Compensation

  • Hourly wage is $18.91.

Schedule and training

  • Store operating hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30–18:00, and Saturday, 8:00–17:00.
  • Shifts may include weekends; multiple training dates start September 9, 2026.

Workplace

  • Store-based role with customer check-ins that take place outdoors in all weather.
