Role overview

Front Counter Sales Representative serving as the store’s first point of contact for customers.

Temporary position with full-time hours for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist with product and service questions; prepare quotes and explain options.
  • Check in vehicles and record mileage, tire condition, and service details, including outdoors in all weather.
  • Look up parts, pricing, and availability; prepare invoices and process transactions accurately.
  • Answer calls, book appointments, and maintain customer records.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe; coordinate with the shop team for a smooth customer experience.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service and sales experience.
  • Automotive interest; tire, basic vehicle, or parts-lookup knowledge is an asset.
  • Comfortable indoors and outdoors in all weather; strong communication and a practical customer-first approach.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, lift 30–50 lbs as needed, and work safely as part of a team.
  • A valid driver’s license is an asset.

Compensation

  • Hourly wage: $18.86.

Schedule

  • Shifts are scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.

Workplace

  • Role is based in a Kal Tire store and includes vehicle check-ins outdoors in all weather.
  • Store locations are listed across Calgary’s northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast areas.
