Front Counter Sales Representative

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, respond to product and service inquiries, prepare quotes, explain options, and support sales decisions.
• Complete vehicle check-ins by gathering mileage, tire condition, and service details.
• Look up parts, pricing, and availability using internal systems.
• Prepare invoices, process transactions, answer calls, book appointments, and maintain customer records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and coordinate with the shop team.

Requirements

• Previous customer service and sales experience; strong communication and a practical, customer-first approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather; able to lift 30–50 lbs as required.
• Automotive interest or knowledge and parts lookup experience are assets; a valid driver’s license is an asset.
• Candidates must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada.

Compensation

• Hourly wage is $18.86.

Schedule

• Shifts are scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.
• Listed store hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Sunday is closed.

Store locations

• The role is based at a Kal Tire store in Airdrie, Alberta; the posting lists two possible store locations.
• The duties include store counter work and in-person vehicle check-ins.

Hiring process

• Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an interview and guided tour of the store and service area.
• Candidates are considered for one location at a time; applicants are asked to apply to no more than two Kal Tire locations.
