Responsibilities
- Review maintenance plans to ensure a safe, sufficient, and cost-effective strategy is in place.
- Review, approve, and support Asset Engineering in configuration changes of the systems.
- Apply systems knowledge to emerging technical trends, reliability problems, and safety risks.
- Work closely with other support managers to maintain key documentation, engineering specifications, drawings, and vehicle configurations.
- Lead root cause analysis and technical investigations.
- Ensure adherence of all systems with established SAR standards and best practices.
- Monitor and report RAMS of freight rolling stock to detect deviations and recommend improvement actions.
- Maintain and continually report freight rolling stock performance.
- Initiate and implement design modifications to advance RAMS and fleet life expectancy in accordance with change management processes.
- Review and advise on safe measures when a maintenance deferral is requested.
- Maintain Assets Criticality Assessments of freight rolling stock.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or any related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
