Job Title: FP&A Consultant - Energy - 3 months Contract

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment type: 3 months Contract

About The Role

We are supporting a leading Abu Dhabi-based organisation with the appointment of an experienced FP&A professional to support the delivery of its annual business planning cycle.

This is a highly visible role working closely with senior leadership, Finance Business Partners, and key stakeholders across the business to coordinate planning activities, develop executive-level reporting, and support regulatory submissions.

The successful candidate will combine strong financial planning expertise with exceptional presentation, reporting, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of the annual business planning process across multiple business units and functions.
  • Review and challenge consolidated business plan submissions, financial assumptions, forecasts, and supporting business cases.
  • Coordinate with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of planning inputs, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and regulatory submission packs for executive and external stakeholders.
  • Develop board-level and C-suite presentations for the CFO, CEO, Board, and shareholders.
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into concise, visually compelling management reports and presentations.
  • Analyse cost submissions, budget allocations, and expenditure trends, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Track planning activities, actions, and dependencies across multiple directorates to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support executive decision-making through robust financial analysis and scenario modelling.

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of experience within FP&A, Corporate Planning, Business Planning, Strategic Finance, or Management Consulting environments.
  • Strong experience supporting annual business planning and budgeting cycles within large, complex organisations.
  • Proven ability to develop executive-level presentations and board papers.
  • Exceptional report writing, data visualisation, and presentation-building skills.
  • Experience translating financial analysis into clear commercial insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior leadership and executive management.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Experience using Think-cell for executive reporting and presentation development is highly desirable.
