The Forward Deployed Engineer will bridge product development and production deployment for an AI worker named Frank.

Responsibilities
- Design agent behaviors and tool-use pipelines using TypeScript and LLM APIs.
- Handle complex manufacturing inputs, including unstructured PDFs.
- Map customer quoting and purchasing workflows into technical configurations.
- Build evaluation harnesses and guardrails to improve AI reliability.
- Use field findings to identify product gaps and influence the product roadmap.
- Deploy systems onsite at factories and travel to manufacturing shop floors across the country.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong command of TypeScript, React, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL database management.
- Customer-facing technical experience such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Product Management.
- Fluency with LLM APIs, prompting strategies, and evaluation frameworks.
- Ability to work onsite in New York City and travel to customers.
- Industrial or ERP experience is described as ideal rather than mandatory.
