Food & Beverage Manager

Role summary

Education and experience

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area; alternatively, a relevant two-year degree and two years of related experience.
• Relevant degree fields include Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major.

Operations and financial management

• Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for Food and Beverage departments.
• Manage budgets and maintain cost management for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Lead day-to-day operations and oversee culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service functions.
• Comply with corporate accounting procedures.

Team leadership

• Supervise and manage employees, monitor productivity, set performance expectations, and conduct timely performance reviews.
• Coach and mentor employees, identify development and training needs, and support continuous improvement.
• Build motivation, empowerment, teamwork, trust, and cooperation; set goals and prioritize departmental work.

Guest service

• Set and maintain service expectations and align teams with the brand's service culture.
• Respond proactively to guest concerns and take ownership of complaints until resolved or appropriately addressed.
• Monitor daily service quality and verify banquet functions meet or exceed guest expectations.
