Design floral displays for weddings, events, celebrations, and daily retail sales.
Provide customer service while maintaining high-quality arrangements and shop presentation.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare fresh arrangements, bouquets, centerpieces, and decorative displays.
- Assist customers with flower and arrangement selections.
- Care for flowers through trimming, watering, conditioning, and proper storage.
- Maintain inventory of flowers, plants, vases, ribbons, and supplies.
- Process in-store, phone, and online orders; coordinate arrangements for events and special occasions.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and displays; package floral deliveries.
- Monitor stock and assist with purchasing and supplier coordination.
- Operate POS systems and process payments accurately.
- Stay current on floral trends and support social media and promotions when required.
Qualifications and requirements
- Previous florist or floral designer experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of flowers, plants, floral care, and arrangement techniques.
- Creative and artistic ability with attention to detail; strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple orders, and work weekends, holidays, and event schedules.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift floral supplies when needed.
