The Fleet/Transport Coordinator oversees day-to-day fleet operations, coordinating drivers and vehicles, controlling transportation costs, and ensuring smooth, safe and timely transportation services.
The role requires strong coordination, communication, record-keeping and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules, vehicle allocation and driver assignments.
- Monitor vehicle movement, trip schedules, fuel consumption and mileage.
- Ensure timely transportation of employees, goods and materials as required.
- Maintain vehicle documents, registration, fitness certificates, tax tokens, insurance and other necessary records.
- Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance, servicing and emergency repairs.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, discipline and compliance with traffic rules and company policies.
- Maintain records of fuel expenses, repair costs, trip logs and transportation expenses.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy and operated safely.
- Communicate with drivers, departments, vendors and management to resolve transportation-related issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly transport reports.
- Ensure compliance with company transport policies and applicable government regulations.
- Perform other transportation-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Experience: 5-10 years.
- Education: diploma in business studies.
- Skills: transportation management, transportation logistics, fleet operations, fleet management, transportation planning, logistics coordination.
