About the opportunity
The Fleet Maintenance Advisor joins the Fleet and Distribution team and reports to the Corporate Fleet Maintenance Manager.
Applicants are accepted from across Ontario; the successful candidate will be based on-site at the nearest McDougall Energy branch.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical maintenance support for heavy-, medium- and light-duty fleets at Operations locations.
- Advise internal staff on heavy truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Liaise with third-party repair shops when required and communicate company repair and documentation standards.
- Monitor inspection and maintenance-standard compliance at internal locations.
- Review and validate repair billing costs.
- Assist with regulatory compliance and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Travel routinely to operating hubs and service providers to maintain relationships and monitor vehicle condition.
Ideal candidate
- Specific understanding of heavy truck and trailer maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Truck and Coach (310T) Technician or related-field experience is an asset.
- Fuel handling experience is a major asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance software and documentation systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary range is $75,000–$80,000 per year.
