Help members and clients establish and reach fitness and wellness goals through education, motivation and training.
Contribute to the success and day-to-day operation of the fitness center.
Training and member support
- Guide members in proper exercise technique and suitable exercise variations.
- Set fitness and wellness goals with clients and develop training plans to achieve them.
- Manage clients and follow the member journey.
- Provide current fitness advice and motivate clients to work toward their goals.
- Complete inductions, personal training sessions and classes professionally and on time.
- Keep knowledge current and contribute to programming and facility operations.
Facility and schedule
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-presented fitness environment and support customer wellbeing.
- Available hours include afternoons, evenings and some weekends; schedule may be adjusted to accommodate members.
Qualifications and experience
- A current fitness qualification is required.
- Two years of similar gym experience is preferred.
- REPS or EREPS registration is preferred.
- Customer service, communication, leadership and management skills are requested.
Additional duties
- Attend internal staff training and weekly team meetings.
- Assist with sales tours when required.
- Maintain professional presentation and high standards of customer service.
