Fitness Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successfully completed a two-year postsecondary diploma in a related field that may include but is not limited to fitness, kinesiology, or health
• Relevant current personal training and group fitness certifications (CPTN, CSEP CPT, CEP, NSCA CPT, CSCS, or CANFITPRO FIS/PT)
• Certifications in any of the following would be considered assets: Spin, Cycle, Yoga, Pilate, Nutrition, Nutrition, Pre/Post Natal, TRX, Zumba and Barre
• Must possess, and maintain, current First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
• 6 months’ experience as a fitness instructor
• Demonstrated ability to motivate participants and sustain high energy throughout class
• Proven ability to use different fitness equipment effectively and instruct customers on its use
• Thorough expertise in the field they are instructing – musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and flexibility training techniques as well as injury prevention
• Ability to work non-traditional hours (days, evenings and weekends)
