The position is Fit-Out Estimation Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The client seeks substantial fit-out experience and expertise in estimation and tendering.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out and construction packages.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and calculate material and labour costs.
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare commercial comparisons.
- Prepare competitive tender submissions and support pricing strategies.
- Coordinate tender preparation with design, procurement, project, and commercial teams.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, and potential commercial risks.
- Maintain estimation records, pricing databases, and tender documentation.
Required skills
- Strong experience estimating interior fit-out works.
- Ability to prepare and evaluate competitive tender submissions.
- Ability to review quantities, specifications, and scope through BOQ analysis.
- Accurate measurement of materials and work packages through quantity take-offs.
- Experience developing detailed project cost estimates.
Experience and education
- Candidates should have 8–12+ years of relevant fit-out estimation and tendering experience, including at least 3 years in KSA.
- Experience should include BOQ preparation and analysis, quantity take-offs, costing, and tender submissions in a fit-out or construction environment.
- Typical minimum education: bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a construction-related discipline.
- Preferred: postgraduate qualification in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
- Relevant estimation, quantity surveying, or construction certification is preferred.
Preferred skills
Experience handling major commercial or interior fit-out tenders in KSA.
Strong subcontractor and supplier quotation analysis.
Exposure to commercial evaluation and value-engineering exercises.
