The role calls for knowledge of seafood varieties, preparation methods, and storage requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Select, clean, and prepare seafood while ensuring quality and freshness.
- Display and sell seafood products and advise customers on fish selections and sushi options based on their preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service and support customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, utensils, and equipment.
- Stay updated on seafood trends and seasonal fish.
- Monitor stock, reorder seafood, and minimize waste.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper fish-storage techniques.
- Perform other tasks assigned from time to time.
Knowledge and abilities
- Good knowledge of fish and seafood varieties, preparation methods, and storage requirements.
- Strong knife skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
