Overview
Relocation to Zambia:
We’re looking for a hands-on
Fire Fighting Engineer (Electrical Background)
with strong UAE fire protection exposure to join our team in
Zambia
and support project delivery from design through commissioning.
Role summary
You will lead and support fire fighting / fire protection engineering activities across active projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance, and driving quality installation and commissioning outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Review and develop fire fighting / fire protection design deliverables (shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, method statements).
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues and close RFIs.
- Support project execution: installation oversight, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards/codes and project specifications (e.g., NFPA / local authority requirements as applicable).
- Prepare reports, schedules, and technical documentation for approvals and closeout.
- Support procurement with technical evaluations, BOQs, and vendor clarifications.
- Provide engineering support to construction teams to maintain quality, safety, and timeline performance.
- Must-have requirements (mandatory)
- **Electrical Engineering background**
- (degree required).
- **Fire Fighting / Fire Protection engineering experience**
- (hands-on, project-based).
- **UAE experience is mandatory**
- with
- 5+ years total UAE experience
- in fire systems / fire protection.
- Strong understanding of fire fighting systems and site execution practices (installation to commissioning).
- Able to relocate and work in
Zambia
.
Preferred qualifications
- **Ex-NAFFCO**
- OR experience with other major established UAE fire companies (strong advantage).
- Engineering support experience on
- construction projects
- (contractor/consultant/project delivery environment).
- **Hospitality project exposure**
- (hotels/resorts/hospitality MEP/fire systems) is a plus.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.
Education
- **Engineering degree required**
- (Electrical Engineering mandatory for this role).
- Candidates with an
- additional BA
- are welcome.
