Job Purpose
Ensure safe, reliable operation of Fire and Gas and PAGA (Public Address and General Announcement) systems.
Plan, implement, and review preventive maintenance and coordinate stakeholders so maintenance work is completed effectively and on time.
People Management
- Supervise direct reports and assign tasks in line with business plans, policies, and procedures.
- Manage personnel, performance appraisals, training, and the provision of appropriate tools and equipment.
- Lead maintenance certification for technicians and provide technical support and field supervision.
- Oversee troubleshooting and corrective actions for Fire and Gas system problems.
Maintenance Operations
- Coordinate daily schedules, preventive maintenance, shutdowns, construction, and alteration plans with other departments.
- Prepare preventive maintenance programs, Standard Maintenance Procedures, and checklists using equipment history and failure data.
- Audit and update maintenance documents and ensure their availability in the electronic document management system.
- Identify system discrepancies, propose durable solutions, and participate in engineering studies and upgrade proposals.
- Perform failure analysis with technical teams and coordinate with vendors to resolve major issues.
Technical and Supply Management
- Prepare technical specifications and scopes of work for Fire and Gas equipment and systems contracts.
- Evaluate field installations and recommend design changes required by code.
- Evaluate vendor bids for spare parts and provide technical clarifications.
- Track spare parts, refurbishment status, bills of materials, and purchase requisitions and orders.
Planning and Compliance
- Contribute equipment-history and training information to budget and forecast preparation.
- Improve maintenance systems, policies, processes, and procedures and ensure team compliance.
- Ensure work complies with applicable health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Supervise Fire and Gas technicians and provide technical support and field supervision for maintenance work.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, shutdown, construction, and alteration plans with other departments.
- Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance programs, Standard Maintenance Procedures, and checklists.
- Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis, identify root causes, and implement corrective improvements.
- Prepare technical specifications and scopes of work for Fire and Gas equipment and systems contracts.
- Evaluate field installations and vendor bids and ensure applicable code, health, safety, and quality compliance.
- Manage team task assignments, performance appraisal, training, and technician certification processes.
