Inventory monitoring and reconciliation
- Execute periodic and annual inventory operations.
- Match actual quantities with financial and inventory management systems; analyze discrepancies and identify causes.
- Prepare inventory reports for financial and operational management and ensure compliance with company inventory policies.
Financial oversight
- Review accounting-system inventory records for accuracy and monitor documentation of inventory inflows and outflows.
- Monitor purchase, storage, and handling costs and verify inventory valuation against established accounting standards.
- Report violations or irregular transactions that affect inventory accuracy.
Process improvement
- Propose solutions to recurring inventory discrepancies and develop procedures to improve accuracy and speed.
- Coordinate with the warehouse department on inventory best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management to abnormal shortages or surpluses.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong financial analysis skills and familiarity with inventory and accounting systems, such as ERP or inventory systems.
- High accuracy in data review, strong organization and time management, and ability to work under pressure during inventory periods.
- Good communication skills with various departments.
