Financial Reporting Manager
Role Overview
You will own the books for the entities in scope, from journal entry to signed IFRS financial statements, consolidation and monthly management reporting. This is a hands-on role: you run the close, prepare the hardest reconciliations, write technical memos and deal with internal and external auditors directly. You will be the business’s first point of IFRS expertise across lending, payments and remittance products, and a key contributor to Corporate Tax, VAT and CBUAE reporting. You will support the wider team & work as an individual contributor. Responsibilities
Close and reporting
Run the monthly close to 3rd Calendar Day, owning the close checklist, cut-off and accruals, and prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare annual IFRS financial statements and disclosure notes for each entity, and assemble a complete, audit-ready file (supporting schedules, reconciliations, memos).
Produce monthly management packs with key metrics and explain variances and trends to management and the Board/investor reporting cycle.
Audit
Act as the day-to-day lead for the external audit: plan the timetable with the auditors, manage the PBC list, resolve queries and drive the audit to sign-off on time.
Coordinate internal audit requests and track remediation of findings to closure.
IFRS technical accounting
Draft accounting position papers and assess the impact of new standards, with particular focus on IFRS 9 (classification, ECL on loan books), IFRS 15 (revenue for payments and remittance, gross vs net presentation) and IFRS 16.
Intercompany and consolidation
Manage group consolidation, including elimination entries, currency translation and minority interests, and reconcile intercompany balances monthly.
Controls and governance
Own key financial controls: journal approval, reconciliations, segregation of duties and ERP access.
Document and maintain accounting policies, SOPs and process narratives, and remediate audit findings on time.
Tax and regulatory
Prepare VAT returns, support Corporate Tax and Pillar Two computations, and prepare financial inputs to CBUAE regulatory returns and licence-holder submissions, ensuring reconciliation back to the ledger.
Systems and automation

Review current finance processes and propose and implement improvements, with a focus on shortening the close.
Automate reconciliations, reporting and dashboards.
