Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for a Financial Controller - Ecommerce & Multi-Entity. The Financial Controller will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations, and streamline financial reporting procedures. The role includes conducting in-depth financial analysis, monitoring budgets, managing accounts, and providing insights to support decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and ownership of financial strategy and planning for multiple entities will also be key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle accounting across multiple entities (UAE, US, HK, Agency, Portfolio)
- Manage accounts payable, payroll, and weekly payment cycles using structured systems
- Reconcile ecommerce revenue, settlements, and payouts (Shopify, Stripe, processors) using tools like A2X and Synder
- Maintain balance sheet integrity across all entities
- Handle intercompany accounting and cross-entity transactions
- Drive month-end close and management reporting (using tools like Fathom/Spotlight)
- Support cash flow visibility and treasury planning
- Work closely with operations and marketing teams to resolve discrepancies
- Continuously improve and automate finance workflows
Tools & Systems
You should be comfortable working with:
- Xero (or similar accounting systems)
- A2X / Synder (ecommerce & payment reconciliation)
- Ramp / Airbase (AP and payments)
- Shopify, Stripe, payment processors
- Reporting tools (Fathom, Spotlight, or similar)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in multi-entity accounting
- Experience in ecommerce finance (Shopify, payments, settlements)
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate independently
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a structured, tech-enabled finance environment
