What you'll do:

As Financial Controller, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing detailed financial statements, maintaining rigorous controls over accounting records, managing cash flow processes, and collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure budgetary discipline. • Oversee general ledger management by reconciling accounts and recording all financial transactions with precision across various business activities.
• Record and classify diverse financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expenses, and revenues to maintain up-to-date ledgers.
• Manage bank reconciliations diligently while monitoring cash flow to guarantee effective fund management for ongoing operations.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and preparing detailed financial forecasts that align with organisational goals and support long-term planning.
• Monitor budget utilisation closely, providing thorough variance analysis to inform data-driven financial decisions across departments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strict adherence to budgetary guidelines and promote responsible resource allocation throughout the business.
• Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns punctually while ensuring full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Support process improvements by assisting with automation initiatives such as ERP implementation or reporting tool enhancements, driving efficiency within the finance function.
