Lead finance systems transformation for an acquisitive multinational industrial group.
The role focuses on Oracle Finance enhancements, finance process improvement, and integration of newly acquired businesses.
The position is described as a 12-month contract with an ASAP start and potential to transition to permanent.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Oracle Finance enhancements, configuration, and optimization across the finance function.
- Support Chart of Accounts, cost centre, reporting hierarchy, and governance framework design and implementation.
- Partner with Finance, Technology, and external vendors on system improvements, integrations, and transformation projects.
- Integrate acquired businesses, including system onboarding, account mapping, reporting alignment, and process standardization.
- Coordinate data migration, user acceptance testing, reconciliation, and cutover for acquisitions and finance system changes.
- Improve Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Financial Planning and Analysis processes.
- Oversee month-end reporting and deliver timely, accurate financial information to stakeholders.
- Develop finance reporting structures, dashboards, and management reporting packs.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solutions as the Finance-Technology liaison.
- Identify automation opportunities, improve data quality, and strengthen financial controls.
Candidate requirements
- Experience improving finance processes within an accounting and finance function.
- Ability to review workflows, identify issues, and develop practical improvements.
- Experience coordinating finance transformation or change activities.
- Strong documentation skills for procedures, process changes, and project updates.
- Ability to clarify needs with finance stakeholders and resolve process matters.
- Able to monitor implementation work and follow through on agreed actions.
