The Finance Manager / Finance Director is responsible for leading financial planning, reporting, and strategic financial management to support organizational growth and long-term sustainability.
This role oversees financial operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides insights that guide executive decision-making and business strategy.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organizational objectives.
The role oversees the preparation and analysis of financial statements, management reports, and performance dashboards to monitor financial health and operational efficiency.
The position is responsible for financial strategy development, including capital allocation, cost management, cash flow optimization, and investment evaluation.
It also ensures effective risk management practices are in place, including internal controls, financial governance, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
In addition, the role leads or supports financial analysis for business initiatives such as expansion projects, investments, and operational improvements.
It evaluates financial performance, identifies opportunities for efficiency, and provides recommendations to senior leadership.
The role may also oversee accounting functions, audit processes, tax compliance, and financial systems, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and reliability of all financial reporting.
Collaboration with executives, department heads, and external stakeholders is essential for aligning financial strategy with business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in financial management, corporate finance, accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, spreadsheet analysis, and financial reporting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, financial planning systems, and business intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, compliance requirements, and financial governance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide teams and influence strategic decisions.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail, with experience managing multiple financial priorities in a complex business environment.
