Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the effective implementation of accounting policies and internal controls.

This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial information and supporting sound business decision-making.

Key responsibilities include managing the general ledger, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and supervising month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

The role ensures financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.

The position oversees the preparation of financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

It also monitors budgets, analyzes financial performance, reviews variances, and provides recommendations to improve financial efficiency and operational effectiveness.

The role is responsible for maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting internal and external audit activities.

It includes reviewing accounting procedures, identifying process improvement opportunities, and implementing best practices to strengthen financial governance and reporting accuracy.

Collaboration with finance, operations, procurement, and senior management is essential to resolve accounting issues, support business initiatives, and ensure timely completion of financial reporting requirements.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.

Ability to oversee accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, spreadsheet applications, and financial reporting tools.

Familiarity with financial system implementation and process automation is an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data, perform reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and provide actionable recommendations.

Comprehensive understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
