A prominent, premier UAE Turnkey General Contractor specializing in high-end villa construction, commercial developments, residential buildings, and luxury interior fit-outs is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager.
Serving as the absolute financial gatekeeper for turnkey projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and controlling all financial aspects of the company.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Finance Manager based in Dubai.
The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, prepare and analyze financial reports, develop financial strategies, and manage budgeting and forecasting.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, evaluating investment opportunities, and supporting senior leadership with financial insights and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, monitor, and enforce robust internal control frameworks, corporate policies, and financial risk mitigation strategies across all departments.
- Align project-level expenditures, procurement pipelines, and head-office overheads with overall corporate financial strategies.
- Oversee whole-of-company cash flow, working capital, corporate banking facilities, performance bonds, and project bank guarantees.
- Direct, verify, and authorize monthly payroll cycles for corporate and site staff, eliminating anomalies and misallocations.
- Partner with the Quantity Surveyor to validate pre-bid estimations, review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and track rolling forecasts.
- Supervise the month-end and year-end close cycles, ensuring accurate, IFRS-compliant financial statements and executive dashboards.
- Manage full compliance with UAE statutory laws, including corporate tax and VAT filings, and serve as the main liaison for external auditors.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Financial Analysis, Financial Planning, and Budget Management
- Outstanding attention to detail with an intrinsic drive to deep-dive into historical raw data, investigate anomalies, and resolve structural financial variances.
- Experience with Accounting Standards, Regulatory Compliance, and Internal Controls
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting and Forecasting techniques
- Ability to manage Cash Flow and assess Investment opportunities
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CA certification preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to the role
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience within the UAE construction sector.
- Strong proficiency in construction ERP systems and advanced financial modeling.
