Finance & Accounting SAP Business Analyst

Role Overview

Location

• The position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and is onsite.

What You Will Do

• Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to understand needs, identify pain points, and develop improvements.
• Lead finance systems projects through requirements, design, planning, testing, implementation, training, and post-go-live support.
• Support SAP S/4HANA Finance processes across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
• Connect Finance, Accounting, IT, developers, and vendors by translating business needs into system requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, improved controls, reporting, and efficiency.
• Document current-state processes, define future-state requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate testing and UAT for enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and new functionality.
• Support adoption through training, documentation, troubleshooting, and ongoing SAP support.
• Perform root-cause analysis and assess the value and impact of proposed changes.
• Develop business cases, scopes, plans, testing plans, and change requests.
• Develop ad hoc financial reporting using SAP, SQL, SAC, or other analytics tools.
• Support ERP implementations, integrations, upgrades, and Finance transformation initiatives.

What You Will Have

• At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Finance Systems, ERP, Business Analysis, or a related function.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes such as GL, financial close, AP, AR, fixed assets, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and hands-on exposure to SAP FI/CO areas.
• Experience improving processes, implementing enhancements, gathering requirements, or participating in ERP implementations.
• Experience with testing, UAT, implementations, integrations, or upgrades.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Accounting, IT, and leadership teams.
• Experience with SAC Analytics, SAC Planning, SQL, or other reporting tools is a plus.
• Finance transformation project leadership experience is preferred.
• Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments is helpful.
