Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform technical field service tasks, including advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and issue resolution in accordance with established procedures. Support the functionality and reliability of customer equipment by identifying technical issues and contributing to corrective actions together with the service team. Provide technical support and guidance to customers during service activities, ensuring a positive service experience. Collaborate with customers, external stakeholders, and cross‐functional internal teams to coordinate on‐site activities and ensure timely service delivery. Escalate complex technical issues as required and support senior engineers or superintendents during service execution. Contribute to the continuous development of field service processes by providing feedback on service execution and equipment performance. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation in line with company policies and customer requirements. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards. To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: High integrity and accountability. Experience working with Wärtsilä engines or similar large‐bore engine platforms (preferred but not mandatory for junior level). A team‐player mindset with the ability to work independently under guidance, including in remote locations. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning. Color perception (Red, Green, Amber). Hearing / Listening. Clear speech. Manual dexterity (hand and finger). Ability to mount and dismount equipment or vehicles. Pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Lifting up to 45 pounds , multiple times per shift. Carrying up to 25 pounds , multiple times per shift. Driving (local and long-distance). Ability to stand, bend, squat, and sit for prolonged periods. Climbing and maintaining balance.
