Role Overview
Ensure smooth, continuous, safe, and efficient operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers, associated plant equipment, and utility services in the assigned area.

Ensure smooth, continuous, safe, and efficient operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers, associated plant equipment, and utility services in the assigned area.
Work as instructed by the Shift Supervisor or Main Control Room Operator.
Key accountabilities
- Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently and carry out instructions promptly.
- Record routine parameter readings, report deviations, and inform the supervisor or control room of equipment abnormalities.
- Keep standby equipment ready for emergencies and assist with testing and recommissioning after maintenance outages.
- Use safe working practices, identify hazards, participate in hazard reporting, and maintain good housekeeping.
- Know emergency procedures for equipment in the assigned area.
- Carry out on-the-job training and strive to increase competency.
Site-specific scope
- At Jebel Ali, the Operator Turbine & Boiler and Assistant Operator duties are restricted to gas turbines, steam turbines, associated plant equipment, and related utilities.
Qualifications and experience
- Higher Secondary School Certificate.
- Minimum 4 years in a power station and 2 years' experience as a Desalination Operator (PG7), or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
- Competencies achieved in all areas except DCR operation.
- Intermediate 3 English or equivalent skills to prepare and complete shift reports.
Skills
- Basic numeracy, including concentration, percentages, unit conversion, and rate calculations.
- Ability to understand single-line diagrams and use IT.
- Problem solving, planning and organizing, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
