Field Finance Manager

Position summary

Regional business partnering

• Provide regional general managers with data-driven insights for market expansion and operational efficiency.
• Create and manage regional financial statements, forecasts, and detailed budgets.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and performance analysis to support operational and financial targets.
• Connect regional operations with central finance and align corporate goals and reporting standards.

Finance operations and business support

• Lead initial financial setup of new regional entities and establish local financial processes.
• Develop and implement field-level SOPs for financial management and reporting.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor onboarding during startup.
• Oversee implementation and local management of financial systems.
• Evaluate market investment opportunities and fleet optimization initiatives.
• Translate operating KPIs, including vehicles on road and utilization, into financial projections and insights.
• Identify regional trends, forecast variances, and cost-saving or revenue-growth opportunities.
• Support planning and forecasting with the corporate finance team.

Experience and education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• MBA or CFA is a plus.
• Requires 5–8 years of progressive finance experience; field finance, regional management, or operational finance experience is preferred.
• Requires cross-border financial operations, multi-entity reporting, and international expansion experience in a global technology or fleet management enterprise.
• Mobility, autonomous vehicle, rideshare, logistics, or fleet-based operations experience is a plus.

Modeling and technical skills

• Strong Excel and Google Sheets financial modeling and scenario-planning skills; ability to build models from scratch.
• Forecasting and budgeting experience, including advanced Excel functions: INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, and Power Query.
• Proficiency with BI tools and financial planning systems.
• VBA, Python, or SQL for automating data pulls is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS as applied to models, accruals, depreciation, and three-statement linkage.

Business and communication skills

• Understand operational drivers in transportation technology and on-demand platforms, including cost per mile, utilization, and AV operational performance.
• Distill complex financial data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with leadership.
• Communicate cross-functionally with leadership and operational teams.
• Bring project management skills, initiative, ownership, and comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
