Role Overview
Seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Operations & Maintenance Engineer with at least four years of experience in facilities management or MEP maintenance.
The role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for MEP systems including HVAC, electrical panels, generators, plumbing networks, fire alarms, and firefighting systems.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, troubleshoot technical faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Direct and monitor daily activities of in-house technicians and external subcontractors, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Identify spare parts and maintenance material requirements and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.
- Ensure facility operations comply with applicable local regulations, safety codes, and industry best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- At least four years of hands-on experience in facilities management or MEP maintenance.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering and as-built drawings, with familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
