Facilities Management Supervisor

Role summary

Key responsibilities

• Manage personnel, equipment, materials, and methods to meet physical plant construction, modification, maintenance, and quality standards economically.
• Supervise daily facility maintenance and ensure preventive and corrective work meets operational and safety requirements.
• Plan team and resource use to deliver work within timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers and monitor work quality and timeliness.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and maintenance activities for operational and safety compliance.
• Address equipment deficiencies and operational issues with corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
• Support HSE policies and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of safety requirements, dairy principles and processes, and relevant equipment, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures for reporting and knowledge of ERP systems.
• ERP knowledge is required; SAP functional skills are identified as a requirement for success.
• Knowledge of building systems and trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, flooring, and grounds.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance scheduling techniques.
• Competencies listed include resilience, quality, leadership, agility, AI fluency, safety management, contractor management, and inspection and maintenance procedures.

Experience and education

• Seven years of job experience.
• Diploma in an engineering-related discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
