Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Facilities Engineering Manager role based in Dubai.
The Facilities Engineering Manager oversees the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the company’s physical office and technical infrastructure, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.
Daily responsibilities include planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with vendors and service providers, and monitoring building systems such as HVAC, electrical, access control, and safety equipment.
The role also involves developing and updating facilities policies and procedures, managing facility-related budgets and procurement, and ensuring compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
The Facilities Engineering Manager collaborates closely with workplace, IT, and security teams to support business continuity and enable a productive on-site experience for all team members and visitors.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Facilities Engineering, including building systems, utilities, and infrastructure performance.
- Hands-on experience with Facilities Operations and Facility Management (FM), including vendor coordination and space utilization.
- Proven ability to design and implement Preventive Maintenance programs and schedules.
- Demonstrated Maintenance Management skills, including work order management, asset tracking, and maintenance documentation.
- Knowledge of Dubai and UAE building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and service-level agreements for facilities and maintenance services.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional certifications in facilities or maintenance management (e.g., IFMA, CFM, FMP, PMP)
