Ensure steel fabrication is safe, accurate, and completed according to project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate workshop activities and allocate tasks to fabricators, welders, fitters, and other workers.
- Interpret fabrication drawings and specifications and ensure work follows approved drawings and project requirements.
- Monitor cutting, bending, fitting, welding, grinding, and assembly; inspect dimensions, alignment, levels, and quality.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and departments; monitor production schedules and resolve fabrication issues.
- Maintain tools, machinery, equipment, and workshop housekeeping; enforce safety procedures and PPE use.
- Monitor material usage and waste, maintain production records, report progress, and train workers in fabrication and safe working methods.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in steel fabrication supervision.
- UAE steel fabrication or construction experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of steel fabrication processes, workshop operations, and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting, fitting, grinding, steel assembly, and workplace safety and PPE.
- Good manpower coordination, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred skills
- Structural steel, prefab structures, containers, or modular building experience is preferred.
- Measurements, basic quantity calculations, and coordinating multiple fabrication activities are preferred.
Pay
- AED 3,000–4,500 per month.
