External Audit Senior

About This Role

Grupo HJG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented External Audit Senior to join our professional services team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing external audit engagements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards, and delivering high-quality financial assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute external audit assignments from planning to completion
• Perform risk assessments and develop tailored audit programs
• Review financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulations
• Supervise and guide junior auditors during fieldwork and testing procedures
• Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement
• Prepare audit working papers, reports, and client deliverables
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and management
• Coordinate with clients to obtain required documentation and resolve issues
• Support engagement managers and partners in audit planning and execution
• Ensure audits are completed within deadlines and budget expectations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 4–6 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and auditing standards
• Experience in reviewing financial statements and internal controls
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and client management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple engagements
