Opportunity overview

Ethos is seeking experienced senior proofreaders to help a foundational AI lab train its language model on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide deck tasks.

The work involves creating, evaluating, and refining AI-generated business deliverables.

Work and deliverables

  • Review board-ready slide decks for formatting and brand or template compliance.
  • Audit financial models and spreadsheets for formula errors, broken links, and mismatched figures.
  • Proofread executive memos and client-facing proposals for accuracy, formatting, and consistency.
  • Create cross-document consistency trackers and review formatting drift across deliverables.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years in a QA, editorial, or production role reviewing business documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks before external delivery.
  • Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with strong written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify formula errors, broken links, mismatched figures, and formatting drift.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Compensation

  • Compensation is $70 per hour.

Commitment

  • Flexible commitment of 5–20 hours per week, with more hours possible if desired.
  • The posting lists an ASAP start date.

Workplace

  • The position is fully remote, with work on the candidate's own schedule.
