Position summary

Guest service and sales

• Contact appropriate departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
• Use sales techniques, including upselling, to increase revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Determine and provide complimentary items or rewards; promote brand awareness.
• Process Marriott Rewards redemption requests and enter rewards information during reservations.
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.

Office and team responsibilities

• Perform filing, email, typing, faxing, and other general duties supporting Sales & Marketing.
• Assist management with employee training and motivation and serve as a role model.
• Follow company policies, maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and respond with appreciation and professional communication.
• Build positive working relationships, support team goals, and monitor adherence to quality standards.
• Read and verify information in different formats; handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance; perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is specified.
